Hello,
Today am going to teach you two (2) Method you can use to solve a problem usually found in most Window 8 and most latest window versions.
When you connect your phone to the PC in other to flash it or to transfer files, if the PC detect it as MTP you will see an error message
MTP USB Device Failed
If you see this error message you won’t be able to transfer media files or flash your android device.
Or if your Check = My Computer -> Properties -> Device Manager, you will see an error sign on the MTP Device.
To fix this follow the simple steps below;
METHOD 1
This first method works for those who are facing the problem due to their MTP Driver being out of date
Step 1
Download any Automatic driver updater software e.g driver easy
Install it on your PC and Run as Administrator
Make sure your PC is connected to the internet
Step 2
Connect your device and Click Scan
When the Scan is Complete, it will show list of drivers which needs update in your P.C.
Click Update all if you want to update them all or just scroll and click on the MTP USB Device.
Done
If the above doesn't work try the following
METHOD 2
This second method work for those whose problem result from not having the administrator permission to perfom some functions on their PC
Step 1
Click the START button on your PC and type the following command
cmd.exe
Right click cmd and click Run as administrator.
Step 2
It will open a command prompt window, type the following command and press ENTER on your keyboard
net localgroup Administrators local service /add
You will see a message " The command completed sucessdfull "
Thats it you are done
