How to Patch Modem IMG for Permanent Bypass of Xiaomi Mi Account Lock​

We will guide you via the step-by-step process of patching the modem IMG in this article so you can permanently bypass the Xiaomi Mi account lock or Mi Cloud.

Knowledge Requirement:
  • Xiaomi device with Mi account lock or Mi Cloud activation.
  • Firmware containing Modem IMG.
  • 7z and HXD (Hex Editor) software installed on your computer.
  • Basic knowledge of file extraction and hex editing.
Steps:

1. Dump Modem IMG:
  • Extract the Modem IMG from your Xiaomi device or obtain it from the firmware.
2. Extract 'cardapp' Files:
  • Open the Modem IMG file with 7z.
  • Extract all files named 'cardapp' from the Modem IMG.
3. Open Modem IMG with HXD:
  • Launch HXD (Hex Editor).
  • Open the Modem IMG file using HXD.
4. Open cardapp with HXD:
  • Within HXD, navigate to the 'cardapp' file and open it.
5. Copy Values from cardapp:
  • Identify and copy the values from the 'cardapp' file within HXD.
6. Search and Replace Values:
  • Go back to the main Modem IMG file in HXD.
  • Use the search function to find the values you copied from 'cardapp.'
  • Replace these values with '00' in the Modem IMG file.
7. Repeat for All cardapp Files:
  • Repeat steps 4-6 for all 'cardapp' files (usually 5-6).
8. Save Modem IMG:
  • Save the modified Modem IMG file.
9. Flash Modem IMG:
  • Flash the modified Modem IMG back to your Xiaomi device.
  • This can be done via EDL (Emergency Download Mode) or fastboot mode.

Note: if you have successfully modified the file then you have 2 options for flashing those files. (1) EDL Mode, Simply boot the device into EDL Mode Using Test Point (2) Fastboot mode to flash the all files, but need the device bootloader unlocked otherwise fastboot flash method not work.

Hello, in the thread you are explaining how to patch, edit, etc. the Xiaomi modem with a Qualcomm processor, that is one thing, but for the process to baypass my Xiaomi cloud requires another process, you have to read the title, apart from that The process is quite complex, I do not recommend doing the process if you do not know what you are doing, greetings.
