Apple calls the feature “Speak Time” and it needs to be turned on for it to work.

- Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch to get started.
- Scroll down by swiping the screen or turning the Digital Crown and tap “Clock”.
- Enable “Speak Time”.
- You need to decide whether you want the feature to respect Silent Mode. If you do, select “Control with Silent Mode” With that checked the time will only be announced when Silent Mode is not active.
