  1. Open the “Settings” app
  2. Go to “General”
  3. Choose “Software Update”
  4. Choose “Download and Install” to begin updating to iPadOS 16.1
  5. iPadOS 16.1 update download

iPadOS 16.1 weighs around 5GB and requires the iPad to restart to complete installation.
