Welcome to the Minecraft 1.19.20 update!
In this version, we've added a few new features and made some changes to existing gameplay mechanics.
One of the most exciting additions is the new Nether biomes! There are four different biomes to choose from: Warped Forest, Crimson Forest, Soul Sand Valley, and Basalt Deltas. Each biome has its own unique atmosphere and mob population.
We've also added a new block, the Nether Wart Block, which is perfect for building in the Nether!
In addition to the new Nether biomes, we've also made some changes to existing ones. For example, the Warped Forest now has a new biome specific music track, and the Crimson Forest has a new ambient sound.
We've made some changes to the way Nether Portals work, too. Now, when you create a Nether Portal in the overworld, it will automatically connect to the closest matching portal in the Nether. This should make it much easier to find your way around!
Finally, we've made some changes to the way lava flows. It should now be easier to control, and you can even use it to create Obsidian!
