Samsung told which Galaxy devices will get an upgrade to Android Pie

Following the update of two popular Galaxy smartphones , Samsung has published a full list of brand devices that will receive the latest Android Pie operating system. The Roadmap, which appeared in the Samsung Members app, includes more than two dozen gadgets and the timeline for their transition to a fresh revision of the green robot with the proprietary One UI shell.


The Samsung One UI user interface is modified for ease of use of Android devices with one hand and supports gesture control. The flagship Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus have already begun to receive updates in some regions, the firmware for the Galaxy Note 9 is in beta status and will begin to spread in February 2019. In total, the list includes 24 Samsung Galaxy line devices, including tablets.


Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus and Galaxy Note 8 should get a new firmware by March. Other devices of medium and budget price ranges will begin to receive updates starting in April. In total, until October of next year, the owners of 24 devices of the Korean giant will be able to switch to the ninth revision of Android and the new branded shell.
