Huawei announced the release of a new version of the shell EMUI 8.0 based on Android Oreo. The interface is available "out of the box" on Honor View 10 and the future Honor 9 Lite, and now a number of smartphones have added to the list of supported devices. Which devices will get EMUI 8.0, which contains the new firmware and when to expect its release - Huawei already told officially.
OTA-upgrade to EMUI 8.0 will be available for Honor 8, 8 Pro, 8 Lite, 9i and 7X.
Jump" from EMUI 5.1 to version 8.0 is made specifically to avoid confusion with the version of Android you are using. The newest EMUI 8.0 includes both general enhancements to Android Oreo, and various proprietary features based on machine learning. Smartphones with a fresh shell will be able to distribute system resources taking into account the user's activity, monitor and predict its habits, and also to recognize the context of what is happening.
