Hello,
This patch boot button is specifically for xiaomi devices, will try to explain below:

Patch boot image(disable dm-verity, encryption) - oem sig

- disable dm-verity and android disk encryption and re-sign then boot using engineering certificate
(requires engineering aboot, case: Redmi 3S and maybe others also)

Patch boot image(disable dm-verity, encryption) - sig overflow

- disable dm-verity and android disk encryption and manipulate signature so it will bypass signature verification on some devices
(case: Redmi 5A and maybe others also)

But, if after patch, phone will boot to 900E then it means the patch is not work for that phone (aboot).

Same question. I tried with Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus (vince) and failed each time. First i tried on CN rom, both with vince and vince_ru_global selected and failed. Recently i flased global firmware (vince_global_images_V9.6.5.0.OEGMIFD_20180817.0000.00_8.1_global ) and re-tried but also failed:

I also tried bootloader unlock option but it says each time that bootloader was unlocked succesfully but after reboot it's still locked.

Really? Nobody knows how to use this feature and if, and on what devices does it even work?
