sadly its not that simple, if i short the points i get a flicker in device manager in windows where its loading devices but the device never pops up, ive also checked via lsusb in linux but i dont even see a hint of a device there. ive done hundreds of test points on all types of samsungs and not had issues, ive done 2 others today alone but this just wont have it, KG and knox configure are active so im wondering if theyre somehow blocking EUB mode while KG/KC is active or something, its the only explanation i can think of as to why another S24 plus would TP just fine but this one wont.
no other issues with the device, everything else connects fine, MTP, download mode, ADB, modem, just not EUB mode. the profile in the config service page says it expires on 1st december so maybe ill have to wait till then when the KG is no longer active (i know i could likely root it and sort it but i dont want to trip the knox flag) im just worried that it may become something that they start doing on anything thats FRP locked too which will be a massive pain.
EDIT:
seems im not the only one to notice it and it looks like my fears are grounded, just spotted this post on another forum:
I currently operate three repair shops and rely heavily on your software for advanced Samsung servicing. However, I’ve recently encountered increasing challenges when dealing with devices running Android 15 — particularly with models like the A336B.
It appears that Samsung has implemented new security measures that completely block EUB mode access via test point. FRP services have become non-functional on these latest firmware builds (with recent bootloader versions and security patches).
My main question: is your development team already working on a new solution or exploit path to restore EUB access or FRP handling on Android 15 devices? Any indication that a workaround is in progress would be highly appreciated.
I fully understand if this information cannot be disclosed publicly due to obvious security concerns and Samsung’s active monitoring. Still, as Chimera remains the leading platform for Samsung servicing, I truly hope your team is close to a breakthrough regarding EUB mode and FRP reset on Android 15.
Thanks again for your ongoing innovation and support.
