Foreign object in a certain spot on the guide rail.

Good morning.

My motorized linear stage(OYOSTEPPER) has been used for about six months, running about ten times a day. Recently, I've noticed a distinct "clunk" sensation when the slider reaches a position slightly to the left of the middle of its travel, like the ball bearings are rolling over something.

There are no foreign objects on the stage, and the dust cover is intact. Listening to the guide rail with a stethoscope at that location, the sound is definitely different. Could it be wear and pitting in the guide rail grooves at that spot? Or is the ball bearing cage deformed?

Disassembling it would require re-lubricating, which might affect its accuracy if I reassemble it. Is there a way to diagnose the problem without disassembling the guide rail? What are the common causes of this kind of localized wear?

I hope someone can help me.
