Latest leaks regarding Google Pixel 4 suggest that its dual rear camera can zoom up to 8X.
The phone will also have a Motion Mode for
bokeh effect in videos.

HIGHLIGHTS

  1. Google Pixel 4 will get 8X zoom with its 16-megapixel telephoto camera.
  2. The Pixel 4 will also get Motion Mode to record videos with background blurring.
  3. Pixel 4 will also get an improved Night Sight mode.

The 2019 iPhones are coming within a few days and soon after that, all eyes will be on what Google has to offer in October. But unlike previous years, Google has taken upon itself to reveal some details of the Pixel 4 before tipsters get their hands on prototype units. We have a fair idea of how the Pixel 4 would look like and what will be one of its prime features. However, there're a lot of things Google is yet to reveal and tipsters have been hard at work to extract them.

One of the biggest ones collected by XDA Developers is the presence of an 8X zoom on the rear camera. Yes, up until now, Pixel owners were only able to zoom digitally with its single camera. With Pixel 4, everything's going to change. The Pixel 4 is supposed to get a dual-camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary camera and a 16-megapixel telephoto camera. In one of the leaked images, the camera app is seen flaunting 8X zoom. It isn't known whether the 8X zoom is only limited to an optical system or it will be a hybrid system.

Whatever the system will be, the 8X zoom will make the Pixel 4's camera more useful than before. Google's software does an exceptional job even with lower-resolution cameras and the one on the Pixel 4 is expected to do the same.
However, that's not all. Another leak from 9To5Google suggests that the Pixel 4 will come with something called the Motion Mode. Similar to what Portrait Mode does for photos, Motion Mode will be that for videos. With Motion Mode, you can keep the subject in full focus while the background will be blurred. This new mode is meant to shoot sports events and action shots.
