New Super Mario Bros. is an arcade game published and developed by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS system. It was released in North America and Japan in May 2006, Australia and Europe in June of the same year and in March 2007 in South Korea. It is the first original 2D platformer to feature Mario since Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins in 1992, and the first to be a part of the main Mario series since Super Mario Sunshine in 2002.
