Some apps fail to load properly after Oppo software update

After updating an Oppo device to the latest firmware, I’ve noticed that a few non-system apps are behaving inconsistently. System apps work fine, but some third-party apps either take too long to load or don’t refresh data unless the app is restarted.

One case I’ve seen is with finance-related apps. For example, when trying a FAB bank balance check, the app sometimes stays on a loading screen until background restrictions are disabled or battery optimization is adjusted.

I’ve already cleared cache and checked permissions, but I’m wondering if this is related to recent ColorOS background management changes or aggressive RAM control. Has anyone else faced similar behavior after flashing or updating Oppo software, and is there a recommended setting or fix that works consistently?

This is most likely caused by aggressive background restrictions in recent Oppo ColorOS updates. Third-party apps, especially banking apps, can freeze or stay on loading due to battery optimization and RAM control.

Fix it by:
• Disabling Battery Optimization for the app
• Allowing Background Activity
• Locking the app in Recent Apps

If the app still freezes during a FAB Bank Balance check, you can use other methods to check your balance, such as the web option here: FAB Bank Balance.

Usually adjusting these settings resolves the issue.
